How do I download maps?

 You can download maps by taking the following steps;

- Open the menu
- Select the 'Upgrades' option
- Search for the country you wish to download a map for
- Select the country and hit download 

How to create/login to a Navmii profile?

You can create a Navmii profile by doing the following:

- Open the menu
- Select the ‘Navmii User’ option at the top
- Choose the ‘Sign up with Email’ option Input your details to create an account (Alternatively you can create an account using the Facebook login option)

To log in to your Navmii profile:

- Select the ‘Navmii User’ option
- Choose ‘Log In’
- Enter your details and hit ‘Sign In’

How to restore previously paid for purchases?

To restore your purchases you will need to do the following;

- Open the menuSign into your Navmii account (See ‘How to create/login to a Navmii profile’)
- Open the menu again
- Choose ‘My purchases'
- ’Hit ‘Restore’ in the top right corner

You will then need to re-download your purchases and you can do this by taking the following steps:

- Open the menu
- Hit ‘Upgrades’
- Navigate to the Upgrades you need to re-download
- Hit ‘Download’

How to delete maps?

You can delete maps by taking the following steps:

- Open the menu
- Choose ‘Installed Products’
- Select the map you wish to delete
- Hit the ‘Delete’ button

General Questions

Is an internet connection required for the use of Navmii?

An internet connection isn’t required for general use of the application (Address search, routing etc.) You will however require an internet connection for the following things;

- Downloading the application from the App Store/Google Play Store
- Downloading maps inside the application
- Real time traffic overlay
- Downloading any premium upgrades
- User map reports (roadworks, traffic etc.)

 How to post a traffic/incident report?

To post a traffic or incident report please do the following:
- On the map screen select the GPS lock button located on the right side of the screen
- Select the speech bubble located under the minus button
- Here you can select the incident or traffic options.

Select the report which is relevant to your incident and hit submit, once it has been submitted any Navmii users driving down the same road will get notified about the incident and then they can select if the incident is still present or if it has passed.

How to activate the traffic overlay?

When you plug the tracker into your car for the first time please be sure you are in an open area, The GPS will need a few minutes to correctly position your location. An open area will allow a clear view so being in a covered area such as a multi-story parking area will reduce the visibility of the GPS.

How to change the voice package?

To change the voice package you will need to do the following: 

- Open the menu
- Hit ‘Preferences’ Scroll down to 'Sounds' 
- Inside here are the voice options 

If you have spoken street names enabled you won’t see any other voice packages, please disable this to gain access to the other voice options. 

How to change distance units?

You can change the distance units between Miles and Kilometres by doing the following:

- Open the menu
- Choose ‘Preferences’ (To reveal the ‘Preferences’ option just slide up, it tends to hide on smaller screens)
- Select ‘Distance Units’
- Choose the one you wish to use

How to change the set language?

You can change the language on the application by taking the following steps:

- Open the menu
- Choose ‘Preferences’ (To reveal the ‘Preferences’ option just slide up, it tends to hide on smaller screens)
- Select the ‘Language’ option
- Choose your preferred language

The application should now automatically change to the chosen language, if any of the options are still showing in the previously set language restarting the application will fix this.

How to turn off sounds?

There are various different sound settings in Navmii, all can be found at Navmii Menu > Preferences > Sounds.

The various different sound settings for Navmii can be found by taking the following steps:

- Open the menu
- Hit ‘Preferences’
- Choose ‘Sounds’

The options available in the ‘Sounds’ menu are outlined below:
- Enable sounds: This will enable or Disable all sounds coming from Navmii
- Voice: In here you will have the option to change the voice style, you can download more voice packages from the ‘Upgrades’ sub menu located on the Navmii Menu
- Safety Camera Beep Alert: This will disable/enable the beep you hear when a speed camera is approaching
- Safety camera voice alert: This will disable/enable the voice package warning when a speed camera is approaching
- Enable alert on Speeding: This will disable/enable the sound you will hear when you are going over the speed limit.

We have also added a mute button located in the Control centre which you can reveal by sliding right on the map screen or selecting the 3 dots at the bottom left of the screen

How to turn yourself invisible?

To make yourself invisible to others:

- Open the menu
- Choose ‘Navmii Profile’ (Will be your account name at the top above the Search option)
- Choose the Edit button (iOS) or the Pencil icon (Android)
- Hit ‘Go Invisible’

This will stop your Navatar from being shown on the map to other users.

Address & Routing Function

How to set a location as home/work and then route to it?

You can set a location as home/work by taking the following steps;

- Search for the desired address using the address search or tap on you home/work location on the map
- Slide up from the bottom to reveal an options list and choose the ‘Set as Home’ or ‘Set as Work’ option

You can then route straight to the location you set as your home/work point by doing the following:

- Open the menu and hit Search
- Choose the ‘Home’ or ‘Work’ button just under the search bar

How to add/edit an address in your favourites?

You can add addresses to your Favourite places by taking the following steps;
- Search for the address using the address search or by tapping the location on the map
- Slide up from the bottom to reveal the options list
- Select the little star icon

You can access favourites by going into the ‘Favourite Places’ sub menu. Inside this sub menu you can edit/delete favourites by doing the following;

iOS
To Edit:
- Select the Edit button at the top right
- Rename the Favourite
- Select the Done button

Delete:
- Swipe to the left on the favourite you wish to delete
- Hit the Delete button

Android

-
Slide to the left on the Favourite you wish to edit/delete. This should reveal two icons, a pencil for edit, and a dustbin for delete
- To edit, select the pencil icon and rename the favourite
- To delete, select the dustbin icon

How to create a route?

You can create routes in two ways, from your current location and also between two points, to create a route from your current location you need to do as follows; 

- First search for the address you wish to route to using the address search or by simply tapping on the map
- Then select the route button (little car icon) on the main map screen
- The application should then start calculating a route and will bring up a route overview.

How to add a waypoint?

To add a waypoint you first need to set a route, see the ‘How to create a Route’ FAQ for help. 

Once you have created a route you can add a waypoint like so:

- Search for the address you wish to use as a waypoint
- Hit the route button (which should now have changed to a ‘+’ symbol)

This will add the waypoint into the route, please bear in mind that this waypoint will act as point B so the application will require you to travel to this point before continuing to your final destination.
